Have you ever cried at work?
Fri Apr 1, 2011
Just don't let it shut you down, and you'll be okay.
Do female bosses make advancement harder for other women?
Tue Apr 12, 2011
I've had one BAD female boss, one GREAT female boss, and 2 DISGUSTINGLY BAD male bosses. Since then I'm my own female boss... it's GREAT!!!
The death of the homemade Halloween costume?
Wed Oct 13, 2010
I so hope and pray that this time -- our time -- is NOT the time of end of the homemade Halloween costume. Whether they're child-made, or Momma (or Daddy) made -- many of those homemade costumes are the VERY best to be seen, anywhere. I hope we don't lose such a national treasure.
Do your trust your children to preteen baby-sitters?
Tue Oct 5, 2010
I did. I trusted my younger kids to my own -- very responsible -- preteen babysitter, their oldest sister. Only during the day, and only for a few hours, but I always felt safe leaving the younger two in her care. She never let me down... or any neighbor's family, for that matter.
Crib notes: Jolie's decree, treats for toddlers and why can't boys wear pink?
Tue Oct 5, 2010
Jolie could not force any parent to sign any agreement of any sort. I know that I would not have signed such an "agreement' even though I hate, and forgo gossip. Do I think she overstepped...? Yep. Did the other oddults (misspelling intentional) kowtow to her wishes...? It seems they did.
Crib notes: 'Peanuts' turns 60, teetotal dads, noisy kids and more
Wed Sep 29, 2010
YOUR children are behaving badly, so YOU decide to exit the scene without paying for your food, or even tasting it... and you think that's okie -dokie do ya.... It ain't.
Do you think good parents can raise 'bad seeds'?
Fri Jul 23, 2010
I am so sorry for you -- but I'm more sorry for your children.
Father’s protectiveness goes over the line
Fri Sep 17, 2010
Me too. He deserves it.
‘Mom, stop blogging about me!’
Fri Sep 24, 2010
Some people choose to write their blogs as a daily "tell all book" and it crosses the line (for me) when any of them name names... or make it easy for others to figure out exactly WHO the other people they talk about are.
Do the first nine months before birth shape the rest of a child's life?
Mon Sep 27, 2010
I admit this sounds like mostly hogwash, to me anyway... but it did get me thinking about moms-to-be who are under huge stress, or who are being abused in some way.
